If your client has a large wall and a special, but not too large, piece of art that they want to showcase, you can always place the piece of art between two wall sconces.

TIP: A common mistake many people make is hanging artwork too high. Most artwork should be hung around eye level. Additionally, sometimes people hang artwork that is off scale and out of proportion for the particular wall or the area.

For example, when hanging artwork over a sofa or loveseat, group it or use a piece large enough to maintain balance and look proportional (such as a piece that is about two-thirds the size of the sofa or loveseat). A small 12″ by 10″ piece of artwork would look totally out of proportion if hung on its own over the top of a sofa.
